DVDs & Music CDs Policy

ADOPTED: 1996

 

The library acquires and makes available DVDs and music CDs to serve the general informational, educational, and recreational needs of the community. Quality films, those which exhibit "appropriateness, expected use, and value to the collection through the long term" are acquired for both adults and children. Patron requests for specific videos will be considered based on the above criteria. Replacement for missing, worn and damaged DVDs and music CDs will be made if warranted by the continued expected use and value in the collection.

 

  • You may have on loan a total of 8 items for a 2 week period.  Includes: books, CDs, audio-books, and DVDs

  • Overdue DVDs and music CDs will be subject to a .25 cent daily fine per item up to a maximum of $10.00. Patron will not be eligible to check out materials until overdue fine is satisfied.

  • Patron will be responsible for DVDs and music CDs not returned or damaged.

  • Moweaqua Public Library will not be responsible for damage caused by a DVD or music CD to the patron's equipment.

  • Universal rating system will be observed during check-out for age appropriate material.

  • Rated G: All Ages; PG: Parental Guidance suggested; PG-13: 13 and over; R: 17 and older

  • Age inappropriate materials will NOT be checked out to juvenile patron unless accompanied by parent.

Audio Book Policy

ADOPTED November 1996

 

  • Audio books may be checked out for two weeks.

  • Patron will be responsible for audio books not returned or returned damaged.

  • Overdue audio books will be subject to a .10 cent daily fine per book up to a maximum of $5.00.
    Patron will not be eligible to check out material until overdue fine is satisfied.

  • Moweaqua Public Library will not be responsible for damage caused by the audio book to the patron's equipment.
